The Grossglockner High Alpine Road leads from Fusch-Ferleiten in Salzburg to Heiligenblut in Carinthia and is one of the top excursion destinations in Austria, visited by thousands of tourists every summer. The High Alpine Road has been one of the most popular destinations in Austria for almost 90 years and the panoramic road is particularly popular with bikers and other motorised mountain enthusiasts.
On the way up through the 36 hairpin bends, which stretch over 48 kilometres, you can take a break at one of the inns and enjoy the view as well as the local hospitality.
