With the car

From the motorway exit "Salzburg-Mitte" you can reach the Hotel Scherer in 10 minutes driving time.

Directions

Take the motorway exit "Salzburg-Mitte" and drive out of the roundabout in the direction of the city centre. Follow the main through road (Münchner Bundesstraße) until you cross the Salzach. At the Lehener bridge, get into the left-hand turning lane. At the first set of traffic lights after the bridge, turn left into Haunspergstraße. Follow this road to the zebra crossing with traffic lights (approx. 80 metres) and then turn right into Stauffenstraße, a small side street. The Hotel Scherer is located approx. 70 metres further on the left-hand side, recognisable by a pink building.

With the bike

The best way to get to the bike-friendly Hotel Scherer in Salzburg City by bike is to follow the cycle path along the Salzach to the hotel. This hotel is an excellent stopover on your cycle tour through Austria.

With the train

Salzburg's main railway station is just a 5-minute walk from Hotel Scherer. Taxis can be found directly in front of the main entrance to the railway station.

By long-distance coach

Long-distance buses stop at Salzburg main station or at the Park & Ride car park in Salzburg Süd.

It is only a 5-minute walk from the main railway station to Hotel Scherer. Alternatively, taxis are available in front of the main entrance to the main railway station.

From the Salzburg Süd Park & Ride car park, it is only 50 metres to the Salzburg Alpensiedlung P+R bus stop or 900 metres to Salzburg Süd train station. From there you have direct connections to Salzburg Central Station.

With the plane

The nearest airports are Salzburg Airport and Munich Airport.

From W.A. Mozart Airport in Salzburg, you can take bus no. 2 or a taxi to the city centre.

Bus no. 2 stops directly in front of the airport entrance and takes you to Jahnstraße. From there it is a 3-minute walk to the Hotel Schwerer. The bus ticket is available from the chauffeur, online and at any tobacconist.

Taxis are also available directly in front of the airport building. The journey to the hotel takes about 15 minutes.
