Old Town Concerts in Salzburg on Residenzplatz 2026

The Residenzplatz concerts are an open-air event that brings international rock stars and Austrian music stars directly to the historic heart of Salzburg's old town. On 29 and 30 May 2026, Salzburg's old town will become an open-air stage: Danish band Volbeat will kick things off on Friday, followed by Austropop highlights Pizzera & Jaus, Wolfgang Ambros and AVEC on Saturday.

Salzburg City Festival 2026

The Salzburg City Festival 2026 is expected to take place from 26 to 28 June 2026 in Salzburg city centre. Under the motto "We build bridges", the focus is on community spirit. Over three days, the old town will be transformed into a festival zone with live music on several stages, a children's and cultural programme, street food offerings and various experience areas. Gaisberg Race 2026

From 4 to 6 June 2026, the fascination of historic racing cars will return to Salzburg' s local mountain. The Gaisberg Race pays homage to the legendary hill race of the 1920s to 1960s, in which precious classic cars in various classes will compete today. The action extends from the paddock at Residenzplatz to the city trial and the races on Gaisbergstraße. The event combines technical elegance with sporting ambition and offers spectators the rare opportunity to experience classic cars in full flight against the backdrop of Salzburg.
